As with everything, there is an open standard, and the Jabber XMPP protocols are well known. Presenting on two areas at EuroOSCon is one of the executive directors of the Jabber Foundation, Peter Saint-Andre, and I spoke to him to find out more about the protocols, why we need them to be open, and the high bandwidth environment of conferences.</p>
